Customised 3D Knee
Image-to-Implant process allows medical professions to order a set of fully customized implants and iJig including 3D printed guides and instruments, based on the specific anatomy of a patient. The computer uses data from patient’s CT scan to generate an accurate 3D image of the knee joint, which is then used to design a fully patient-specific set of implants and 3D printed medical instruments.
The company then ships the whole set of parts to our hospital, which are pre-sterilized implants and instruments which can be used straight from the box.
Results are still controversial and we are highly selective in using this implant.
